Clicked is a missed-connections app that helps people rediscover others they crossed paths with in real life. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how location tracking works, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect
Account and profile information
We may collect information you provide when creating or updating your account, such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age, gender, orientation, interests, preferences, bio, profile settings, and account status.
Photos and user content
We collect profile photos and other content you choose to add to the app. We also process connection requests, chat messages, reports, blocks, support messages, and related safety actions.
Location and place information
When tracking is enabled and your device is outside your private zones, Clicked may collect precise or approximate location samples and use them to derive visits, public places, venue candidates, overlap windows, and match suggestions.
Clicked may use background location so the app can detect shared public place visits even when the app is closed or not actively viewed, but only while tracking is turned on.
Private zones
Private zones are places such as home, work, or other private locations that you choose to protect. Private-zone address labels, radius settings, and pinned coordinates are stored locally on your device. Clicked uses that local data to decide whether location should be sent to our servers.
Clicked does not upload your private-zone coordinates to its backend. If you use address search, reverse geocoding, or map features, the map or geocoding provider may process the search text or map coordinates needed to provide that feature.
Device, log, and security information
We may collect technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, IP address, request IDs, diagnostics, crash data, abuse-prevention signals, and rate-limit metadata. We use this information to secure, operate, debug, and improve the app.
How We Use Information
- Provide account creation, authentication, onboarding, and profile features.
- Detect shared public place visits and overlapping time windows.
- Show timeline, place, match, connection, and chat experiences.
- Support safety features such as blocking, reporting, and moderation review.
- Send transactional messages such as authentication emails, account messages, and support replies.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and troubleshoot issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to privacy requests.
When We Share Information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app, such as authentication providers, hosting providers, database providers, object storage providers, email delivery providers, maps/geocoding providers, crash/logging services, push notification providers, and app stores. These providers process information on our behalf or as needed to deliver their services.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law. Retention periods may vary by data type.

Your Choices
- You can start or stop tracking in the app.
- You can revoke location, photo, camera, or notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can add or remove private zones in the app.
- You can edit your profile information.
- You can block or report other users.
- You can request an export of your data.
- You can delete your account.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Clicked account or use Clicked. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below our minimum age. If we learn that we have collected information from someone below the minimum age, we will delete it.
International Use
Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law or through the app.
